Title Insurance
Baja Mexia Properties was founded as a
Corporation in 2006. Prior to purchasing the property
the corporation obtained title insurance through First
American Title, a sister company to First American Corp.
a fortune 500 company.
In order for First American Title to issue a policy it
was necessary for an attorney, based in Mexico, approved
by the First American Corporation, to provide First
American Title with all the needed documentation and
research for the policy to be issued to Baja Mexia
Properties. After the policy was issued it allows
for a Mater Policy, which enables any or all, future
land transfers to third parties be eligible under the
same policy. However, this does not mean coverage for
future property owners is free of charge. First American
Title will issue a separate policy under the name(s) or
corporation of which the land is transferred at a cost
of approximately $5 per $1000 that is insured. The
difference is the need for the Mexican attorney required
for the background checks.
It is the policy of Baja Mexia Properties to
neither suggest nor discourage any buyer from purchasing
title insurance. Like any purchase this is left solely
to the consumer based upon their research.
Upon request it would be our pleasure to give you
information in order to contact the representative in
charge of our policy to answer any further questions you
may have in regards to title insurance in Mexico. Like
so many insurance policies it is under a sole person’s
name and not the corporation. Baja Mexia Properties is a
Mexican based corporation recognized only in Mexico. It
is in no way affiliated with any American based
corporations.
Below you will find the policy issued.
